A beneficiary is the person(s) you designate to receive your life insurance policy's stated benefit in the event of your death. You may change your beneficiary(ies) whenever you wish. It is important to keep your beneficiary designations up to date. Your beneficiary(ies) may need to be changed when you experience a qualifying event such as marriage, death, divorce, etc.
